Tom’s Diner in the city was a quiet place sometimes. Outside the window we sat by, it poured, it fell like anything; the stormiest days of the year. “It was just one year ago” I say, to no one in particular, but he listened. A waitress came by and served breakfast; his gaze was lowered from me for the moment, he set himself to getting out his own utensils from a sandwich bag in his jacket. Climactic Battle

There exists two forces, a good and an evil, an id and a super-id - no room for the ego, no room for the superfluous emotions - just the heat of battle and the everlasting conflict.

And I'm losing.

I'm not up to much. A little bored with life, maybe. I want to play Tennis or grab a pair of roller-blades as the fall sets in, something to help me get through the 6 days a week when I'm not stabbing things. I might need to start wearing some sport-geared orthodics; my feet hurt like crazy after just a little fencing footwork.

But on the topic of Escapism, I want some. Video games go so far, but... to really escape the dredges of the tide washing upon you, one feels the need to find more than little breaks here and there. I may just have to focus, though. On one hand, my life laments woes, long enough to rival the decimals of pi, but on the other hand, i really do have it easy... Meh.

I suppose it's about time I grew up and stopped pretending to lose.
